I was reading some other blogs, as I usually do, and was directed to this article written by a terrific writer, mother, and activist. Her name is Melissa Fay Greene and she has adopted transculturally and transracially. Her story of her travel to Ethiopia with her 10 year old Ethiopian daughter is short and potent - read it, please, it won't take you too much time. By the way, orphanages love Crocs. They can be washed and worn and you don't need exact sizes for the kids. Isn't that wonderful? I'm going to follow sweet Helen's example and I plan to buy these shoes for kids when we travel to Ethiopia. I am so humbled and moved by the goodness of people - and the heart of Helen. Thank you Melissa Fay Greene and Helen!
